Enrolled as an Advocate on 10-06-1960. Was in the chambers of Shri V.S.Mall math. Was a Member ofthe Karnataka State Bar Council and the Disciplinary Committee of the All India Bar Council and a Member of the All India Bar Council Trust. Appointed Additional Judge of the Karnataka high Court on 01-01-1979 and permanent Judge on 13.11.1980. Was Acting Chief Justice between 1-07-1992 and 25-6-1993. Appointed Chief Justice of the Madras High Court on 01-7- 1993.
